Refund & cancellation policy

This policy applies to programming consulting engagements sold by Portal Riverpoint: architecture assessments, portal rebuild planning, and rebuild roadmap workshops. It does not cover products, software licences, or physical goods — we do not sell those.

Eligibility overview

Refunds depend on how far the engagement has progressed and whether dates were reserved for workshops or on-site days. Engagement letters state the commercial terms for that booking; where they conflict with this page, the signed letter controls.

Deposits

• Rebuild planning and assessments usually require a 50% deposit to begin.
• Workshops are typically paid in full before the workshop date.
• Deposits secure consultant time and are refundable only as described below.

Full refund

A full refund of amounts paid is available if:

• We cancel the engagement for reasons within our control and no mutually agreed alternative date is set within thirty days; or
• You cancel in writing more than fourteen days before a scheduled workshop and before any preparatory interviews have occurred; or
• We decline the engagement after payment but before work starts because of a conflict of interest we identify.

Partial refund

If you cancel an assessment or rebuild planning engagement after discovery has started but before the findings workshop:

• We refund the unused portion of the final invoice after deducting time already worked at the rates implied by the engagement letter, plus non-recoverable travel already incurred with your approval.
• Minimum deduction is 30% of the total engagement fee once kick-off has occurred.

If a workshop is cancelled by you between fourteen and seven days before the date, 50% of the workshop fee may be retained. Inside seven days, the fee is generally non-refundable unless we fill the slot with another client.

Non-refundable items

• Work already delivered (reports, roadmaps, or plans issued)
• Approved third-party travel and venue costs already spent
• Clarification-call retainers once the clarification window has opened

Rescheduling

Workshops and on-site discovery days may be rescheduled once without fee if you give at least ten days’ notice and we have availability within sixty days. Further reschedules may incur a rescheduling charge stated in the engagement letter.

No-shows

If key participants fail to attend a booked workshop without notice, the workshop fee is forfeited. We may offer a reduced-fee repeat session at our discretion.

Work already started

Once interviews, walkthroughs, or document review have begun, refunds are calculated on remaining unused scope only. Completed phases are not refunded.

Process & timing

Email refund requests to info@portal-riverpoint.click with your engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within ten business days. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within twenty-one business days of approval, or by bank transfer to a Thai account you nominate if the original method cannot be used.

Cancellations by us

If illness or conflict forces us to cancel, we offer a new date or a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work.
